Promoting diversity
To be agile and innovative, we need the broadest range of talent and perspectives.
We aim to build a highly diverse organisation where everyone feels welcome and valued, regardless of gender, age, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexuality or any other difference.
Our first three priorities are gender, nationality and generational diversity.
We have committed that women will represent 33% of our senior leaders by 2025 – the same for our Board of Directors. In addition, we aim to develop the next generation of female leaders.
We are also working to include greater ethnic diversity in our leadership and to build a multi-generational workforce and in 2021 we made our first submission to the Parker review. We aim to increase representation from both younger and older age groups helps us benefit from a multi-generational workforce. Our new trainee program, Refractory Factory seeks to attract and retain young talent. Our first intake of trainees included 10 nationalities, with 30% female representation.
